Released on 22 November 2019, The Beatles: The Singles Collection is a limited-edition boxed set gathering the 22 UK singles the group issued between 1962 and 1970. Of those 44 A- and B-side tracks, 29 were not included on the band's British albums at the time. To them was added an exclusive new double A-side pairing the mid-1990s tracks "Free As A Bird" and "Real Love." All 46 tracks were newly cut for vinyl by Sean Magee at Abbey Road Studios, from their original mono and stereo master tapes. They are presented on 23 seven-inch, 180-gram singles in sleeves that faithfully reproduce the international releases. The set also includes a 40-page booklet with photos, ephemera, and detailed essays by Beatles historian Kevin Howlett.
Of particular note, the set includes a single pairing "Free As A Bird" on one side with "Real Love" on the other — the only release to bring the two "new" Beatles songs together on a single record.
